Championing Diabetes Equity Through Action and Education

Breaking Barriers and Building Communities: Accessible Diabetes Care for Everyone.
Our Projects
Our Projects

We envision a reality where everyone with Type 1 Diabetes has access to life-saving insulin, education, and support—empowered to live fully, free from barriers and stigma.
The Diabesties Foundation adopts a multi-faceted approach, targeting health inequities and championing universal access to medication, medical literacy and education. We work with diverse stakeholders—including those with lived experience, caretakers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and the industry— to eradicate gender and economic disparities in healthcare and create sustainable impact in the diabetes space.

Our Philosophy

Passion
Driven by a deep commitment to improving diabetes care, our passion fuels every initiative we undertake. We believe that true change comes from the heart, inspiring us to innovate and advocate tirelessly for those affected by diabetes.
Purpose
Our purpose is rooted in creating equitable access to diabetes care, education, and support. Each of us has personally faced gaps in healthcare, and these experiences drive us to empower individuals and communities, ensuring that everyone has the tools they need to thrive.
People
At the center of our mission are the people we serve—people with diabetes, caregivers, and advocates. Our entire team has lived experience with diabetes, allowing us to connect deeply with our community to prioritize their voices, experiences, and stories.

When Passion meets Purpose, and Purpose meets People.

His Story
Kartik is a bright young boy from a low-income household. His life took an unexpected turn when he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. On days when they must make difficult choices between buying groceries or purchasing Kartik’s insulin - they fear that the lack of resources may one day lead to Kartik succumbing to his condition.
Sometimes it is hard
to understand why diabetes happened to me - but I try to be brave boy for my Ma.

Echoes of Experience

Diabesties Foundation is a very welcome partner for the Prabhat Community. Diabetes is a word we have often heard but did not know much about. This has now changed, with the power-house of energy and encyclopedic, in-depth understanding of diabetes that Diabesties has given us.

B2B educator was very lovely and helpful. She spent almost 1:30hrs teaching me with all the basics. I feel more confident now. I would to thank Diabesties for taking up this initiative.

I'm in nurse practitioner school and this was better than the lectures. I had to Google so much so figure out what was being corrected, why and when it would be applied and I found this video!

I can't thank Diabesties enough for creating this kind of a platform to share experiences. Because it not only motivates those who are new to this, but even make people like my dad feel so good when he is appreciated for what he has helped me achieve.
Ramya Rajagoapala
In my 16 years of living with Diabetes, I have never felt this optimistic about getting the kind of care that I need. The kind that most healthcare providers in this part of the world are, understandably, due to their own constraints, unable to provide.
